Program Overview

This Hospitality Management Work-Study Diploma introduces aspects of the tourism and hospitality industry which are essential for those looking to move into supervisory and management positions. This program is a combination of several months’ classroom study and several months of work internship experience.

As a student, you will learn the concepts and techniques related to hotel and restaurant operations and international cultural team dynamics.

Admission Requirements

  • 18 years of age or older.
  • Assessment: Online or In-person Counselling
  • Result to Prove English Proficiency:
    • IELTS (Academic) – 6.0 overall
    • IELTS (General) – 6.0 overall with each band 6.0
    • PTE (Academic) – 51 overall
    • TOEFL IBT – 60 overall
    • CELPIP – 7 overall with each band 7
  • In the absence of the above ESL required.
  • Secondary or Post Secondary Degree Diploma.

Learning Outcomes

  • Apply human resources, management, and leadership knowledge and skills to enhance performance as an employee and team member, and to contribute to the management of a hospitality enterprise.
  • Apply foundation’s cost control, revenue management, and promote successful operation of a hospitality enterprise.
  • Adapt to various and changing technologies, systems, and computer applications for the hospitality industry. To help you retain information, you’ll learn these topics in small seminar classes. You will get a chance to listen to lectures by guest speakers, partake in external competitions and industry visits, present research reports and more. You will then be in a 48 week paid internship during which you will continue to apply skills you learned in the program.
  • By enrolling in the course, you will learn from top industry professionals, engage in real world projects with community partners, team up with students from our other programs, build network and connections with hiring partners and professionals in the business, technology and start-up industries, and build a robust portfolio with tangible results to jump start your career as Hospitality Management Leader.
